The end of the world has been a classic theme for movies for many decades and they never fail to capture the interest of movie viewers. Whether it’s a huge asteroid hitting the world, being taken over by aliens, occurrence of another ice age or spreading of a weird virus, people buy it. The reason for this is that these plots have bases and they can indeed happen. The most controversial among the stories on how our world will end is the 2012 Mayan prophecy. Many started searching and researching for the best place to survive 2012 just because of this controversial prophecy.

The Mayans are known to have a high understanding in astronomy even before modern astronomical equipment was invented. Because of this, their prophecy of the 2012 phenomenon is believed by many.

Recently, a few people were featured on television, sharing how they are already preparing for the end of days. Some are starting to pile up their food supplies and some are creating their own hiding space.

While some people worry about the ending of our world, there are those who see this as a business opportunity. The best example for this is the development of an underground real estate property that does not only offer a safe and secured hiding place when the 2012 prophecy occurs but also in a comfortable and luxurious way.

There are many people who still don’t believe that the year 2012 will be the end but there are a few who are starting to make preparations. For some, there’s no harm in being prepared while others think that it’s completely ridiculous. In a few months from now, we will learn for ourselves if the 2012 prophecy is just a complete make believe or if we were all laughing at the real thing.
